Frequently Asked Questions
-
1. What is move2pay?
move2pay is a free app that turns movement into spending power.
Your physical activity is tracked via connected fitness apps, evaluated based on the MET value, and converted into benmo credit. You can use this credit directly in the move2pay shop.
Movement is becoming a currency.
-
2. How does move2pay work?
Connect the move2pay app to your fitness app (e.g., Apple Health or Garmin).
Steps are tracked automatically, and you manually start workouts on your fitness watch. move2pay evaluates your activity based on the MET value and credits your account with points. You can then use these points when shopping in the move2pay Shop—via slide2pay.
-
3. Is the move2pay app free?
Yes. The move2pay app is free to use. There is no subscription and no monthly fees.
When shopping at the move2pay store, a flat service and shipping fee of up to €12.90 applies per order.
-
4. Which fitness apps are compatible with move2pay?
move2pay works with popular fitness apps and wearables, including:
Apple Health, Garmin, WHOOP, Polar, Oura, Google Fit
You can find the current list right in the move2pay app.
-
5. Are my steps counted automatically?
Yes. Your steps are automatically tracked via your connected fitness app.
Workouts such as running, cycling, or gym workouts must be manually started on your watch so that benmo can track and reward them correctly.
-
6. What is the MET value?
The MET value (Metabolic Equivalent of Task) is a scientific unit of measurement used to assess physical activity. It measures how much energy your body expends during a specific activity.
The higher the intensity and duration of your workout, the higher your MET value—and the more move2pay credit you can earn.
-
7. How much credit can I earn?
Your balance depends on three factors:
- Duration of your activity
- Intensity of your exercise
- MET value achieved
The more intensely and for longer you exercise, the more points you'll earn.
-
8. Where can I use my move2pay balance?
You can use your move2pay balance in the move2pay Shop within the app.
There you'll find a selection of products for running, the gym, the outdoors, cycling, and performance.
-
9. How does payment work in the move2pay shop?
move2pay uses the slide2pay principle:
- You can use your store credit to pay for up to half of the product price.
- At least half must be paid by credit or debit card.
In addition, a flat-rate service and shipping fee of up to €12.90 applies per order. This model ensures a sustainable and stable system.
-
10. Why can't I pay 100% with store credit?
move2pay is not a cashback or coupon system.
By combining credit balances with partial card payments, your credit balance retains its value over time and the system remains financially sustainable. This allows us to reward activity in the long term and build a stable trading ecosystem.
-
11. Who is move2pay suitable for?
move2pay is for anyone who exercises regularly, tracks their workouts, is looking for more motivation, and wants to buy sports equipment at a lower price.
Whether you're an ambitious athlete or a beginner—every valid movement counts.
-
12. How secure is my data?
move2pay processes only the necessary activity data from your connected fitness app.
Your data will be stored in compliance with the GDPR and will not be shared with third parties without your consent.
Activity data is used to track your activity—it is not sold. Privacy Policy
-
13. Does move2pay pay out money?
No. move2pay does not dispense cash.
The earned credit can only be used in the move2pay Shop. Activity translates into purchasing power, not a cash payout.
-
14. Is move2pay a discount or cashback program?
No. move2pay is not a discount or cashback app.
Instead, valid activity is converted into actual credit that can be used directly at the time of purchase. The system is integrated, predictable, and transparent.
-
15. How do I return an item?
With every order, you'll automatically receive a return label. You can easily use this to return your item for free.
-
16. Is shipping free?
Yes, returns are completely free for you.
-
17. How do I get my money back?
As soon as our partner store receives your return, we will refund the amount you paid—both to your credit card and to your move2pay account.
Training Sessions & Compensation
-
1. Why do the workout times differ between move2pay and the linked fitness app?
move2pay calculates workout sessions differently than fitness apps. While fitness apps display the recorded workout time, move2pay evaluates the transmitted MET data (exercise intensity) to determine whether an activity is eligible for compensation. Therefore, the duration, intensity, and compensation may differ from the information provided by your fitness app.
-
2. What is MET data?
MET stands for “Metabolic Equivalent of Task” and describes the intensity of your exercise.
Examples:
• 1 MET = sitting or resting
• 2–3 MET = slow walking
• 3+ MET = brisk walking or light physical activity
• 6+ MET = intense exercise
move2pay uses this data to identify activities eligible for compensation.
-
3. When is a training session compensated?
A workout session is counted if the average intensity is at least 3 METs and the activity lasts at least 10 minutes
If these requirements are not met, no compensation will be paid.
-
4. Why wasn't I compensated for my work?
The most common reasons are:
• The average intensity was less than 3 METs.
• The activity lasted less than 10 minutes.
• The activity was interrupted by lengthy breaks.
• Not all data was transferred from your fitness app to move2pay.
-
5. Why wasn't I paid for my walk?
Normal everyday activities such as walking slowly, shopping, or doing housework often do not reach the required intensity of 3 METs. For this reason, they are often not recognized as eligible exercise sessions.
-
6. Why wasn't I paid for my short workout?
Even if the intensity was high enough, an activity must last at least 10 minutes. Activities lasting less than 10 minutes are not compensated.
-
7. Why does move2pay show less workout time than my fitness watch?
move2pay displays the eligible workout time. Your fitness watch, on the other hand, displays the total recorded workout time. As a result, the workout duration in move2pay may be shorter than in the connected fitness app.
-
8. Are breaks during a workout taken into account?
Yes. If there is a break of more than 90 seconds between two activity phases, move2pay may treat them as separate workout sessions.
This allows a longer activity to be broken down into several shorter sessions.
-
9. How can I make sure my workouts are tracked correctly?
For the best possible results, we recommend:
• Permanently link move2pay to the same fitness app.
• Enable all required permissions.
• Open move2pay regularly so that the data is synced.
• Start and stop workouts right on your fitness watch.
-
10. Why does my boyfriend make more money than I do, even though we train for the same amount of time?
When it comes to compensation, it’s not just the duration that counts, but also the intensity of the activity. Those who train at a higher intensity and thereby achieve a higher average MET value can earn more for the same duration of training.
-
11. Is there a place where I can view my compensated training sessions?
Yes. In the move2pay app, under “Wallet,” you’ll find an overview of your earnings and rewards. There, you can see which activities have already been taken into account.
